Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Timothy R. Terry and Linda Gail Bowie Ward. She was a member of any situation where Frazier would hurt Heaven or McDonald.

No matter what happened, she said she can't mourn one of them without mourning all of them. She and Frazier had been together through many tough times and had helped each other grieve several deaths. "We're used to hurting by now," she said. "We're used to hurting." The investigation After receiving a call at about 10 a.m. Friday, Greenwood County deputies found the three dead inside 126 Perch each with a gunshot wound to the head.

That was all investigators would release at the time. The autopsies were completed Sunday, said Greenwood County Coroner Sonny Cox. "It's weird. It's scary I've been trying to call up there and figure out what's going on," Sharron Frazier, Michael Frazier's sister, said Monday morning. "I just want everyone to know my brother loved his daughter.

I just want justice for my brother. It's all very confusing." Frazier's loved ones said they started worrying about things Thursday night. His sister said the last time she saw him was Wednesday "I went and knocked on the door Thursday night, but nobody answered," she said. The next morning, Brown said McDonald was a no-show at work, which was unusual. Heaven hadn't been to school for a few days either, and the concern eventually boiled over.

A relative went to check on everyone at the Perch Street house, but still got no response. "I told her just kick the door in, break the windows, do whatever it takes," Brown said. Brown's mother, Tanya McDuffie, said she was with Brown and others when they went to the house. They knocked at the front and back doors, screamed for the people inside, but got no answer. Finally, someone broke a window and went inside to unlock the door, McDuffie said, and once they were able to get in they saw what had happened.

com DISBELIEF From page I A surviving children. Debra Crocker, who lives nearby the Perch Street house where the bodies were found, said McDonald was a nice woman who loved her family dearly Crocker said her kids went to church and school with Heaven, and they saw how joyful Heaven was around her family "She was just a bundle of joy, always just smiling and encouraging," said Sharron Frazier, Michael's sister. "We'll never get another Heaven." One of Heaven's grandmothers, Tanya McDuffie, said she last saw her granddaughter on Nov. 10. She was playing with other children and bouncing happily on a trampoline.

"She loved cellphones, so I gave her my cellphone to play with and she'd love to sing and take pictures making funny faces," McDuffie said. The woman who led the prayer and singing at Heaven's memorial was Neina Bland, a friend of the older members of the McDuffie family "My heart goes out for this little 8-year-old baby who never had a chance in life," she said. "I have an 8-year-old great-granddaughter, and I can't imagine something like this happening." Her disbelief was amplified when everyone heard from the sheriff what investigators think happened. Relatives, neighbors and friends alike rejected the idea that Frazier could do something like that. "Nobody believes it.

Mike loves his daughter way too much," said family friend Melissa Plyler. Monday night, at Adaia's house, relatives gathered to console one another. Children played outside, bouncing on the trampoline that Heaven's grandmother saw her on little more than a week earlier. Everyone inside shared the same message Michael wouldn't have done that. "You're not going to tell me my brother, in his right mind, killed his baby' said Jasmine Anderson, Heaven's godmother.

Anderson said she and Frazier had been close since they were babies; she calls him her brother. The sheriff's words had left her reeling she said she was struggling to imagine Greenwood Memorial Scott Abrams and Chip Bowie, both of Greenwood; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Heath Terry, and grandparents, Preston Abrams, Lee Bowie, and Robert Jenkins. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Harris Baptist Church with the Rev.

Frank Thomas and Rev. Carlos Fin-cannon officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.

Wilkie has served as assistant city manager during Barrineau's nine-year run, and officials said she was the perfect fit to oversee Greenwood's day-to-day opera Side, police said. The chain of events that led to the shooting began with an argument in the hospital parking lot involving the gunman and a woman with whom he was in a domestic relationship, police said. Wilkie said. "It's not a position that you typically have to take to a bid process, but it was certainly something we thought about. But I can't think of anybody more qualified or more prepared." Wilkie took the job without a formal contract that's going to be negotiated over the coming days and made public once both sides agree to its terms, Smith said.
