Many physicians prescribe a good body massage once a week for women over if the budget can stand it Sometimes women prefer to have a massage at home but that is never quite so satisfactory as having it in a salon for the height and hardness of a professional massage table makes all the difference in the world to the operator she can give you a better massage than on a soft and low mattress And how glorious it is then to lie on your back and have a facial Cool gentle fingers erase tired face lines and make you want to fall into a deep satisfied slumber Do if you can Wherf the treatment is finished the operator will give a gentle shaking to bring you back to work-a- Let's Explore Your Mind By Dr Albert Wiggam' Sc 1 Do animals cooperate with each other like human beings do? Yes A nature student told me when beavers drag a log they line up and pull together when the leader gives the oh hee" signal Motion pictures show scenes where chimpanzees hand their food into an adjoining cage to another chimp begging for food One picture by Yale scholars Nisson and Crawford shows two apes pulling together on a rope to dra wup a bucket of food When one wanted to quit the other would pat him on the back either for him to do all the work pr for both to rest! No wonder the late psychologist Yerktes wrote a book about chimpanzees an titled 21s race prejudice stronger than sopiai prejudice? Usually not Of course race prejudices are partly made up of social prejudice? However the late beloved anthropologist Franz Boa! pointed out that the sex relation the most intimate of all human relation is crossed over far more between different races than between different social classes Children have neither social nor race prejudices until they are taught them by their elders i 3 Does giving women an education tend to make the race less intelligent? Possibly even probably I Burch director Population Reference Bureau shows college graduate women have only about half enough daughters to replace the mothers (There will always be plenty of men for fathers the women that count) High school graduate mothers have only 85 per cent enough daughters while first to fourth grade women have nearly 200 per cent more daughters than necessary to replace their mothers Some uneducated women are of the highest intelligence but they do not average as high as the educated Not very encouraging outlook Our great New Booklet How to 1 READ FASTER and BETTER to get out of the house occasionally and that he need not be jealous that you were just visiting neighbors so-and-so and you intend to visit more than you used to since the children are a little older Do not say 1 go so and Just clean up go in the afternoon be home with the whole family dressed when your husband comes home then tell your husband you had just been visiting Never say am Just go Lots of men do not want to be talked to about visiting' but just go ahead as if it were customary Go somewhere in this manner at least once or twice a week Stay home when your husband is home I would suggest you visit the most devoted Christian in your neighborhood Perhaps she will help you with the children and get them in Sunday School Tell her your problem it is always good for us to have someone to confide in Do not tell anyone else your problem as you do not want a busybody publishing it Frankly I do not think your husband is sick as many men are extremely jealous If he is sick after you have broken your bonds you will have a better opportunity of seeing a physician Make it a point to have a clean dress on and hair combed each evening when your husband comes in from work When he complains laughingly tell him you have to keep pretty to hold him He is probably guilty and afraid the neighbors will tell you about his doings or he would not be so suspicious of you but I would never let him know I thought so Patience you must have because it will take some time for this to work out I will pray earnestly for you Pray more yourself Trust in the Lord and He will work out all things Wishing you well Dear Daily Reader: I think you are one of the most courageous women I have heard of and that Mrs Manners gave you good advice Her advice through her column has helped me many times in working out my problems I have experienced the same problem you now have First of all as she has advised you certainly you should have no more children Try to reason with your husband If he insists that you have a baby every year I advise that you use birth control without his knowledge of it which the county nurse can inform you of Pet your husband but stand on your own feet and be firm in your decisions You have obeyed his commands until it will be hard if ever to get him to help you carry in the wood and water You have taken too much responsibility By this I do not mean for you to fuss no man wants a wife who is forever nagging Be kind to him always Try to have a heart to heart talk with your husband when he is in a good humor and all the children are fast asleep Tell him you love him more than anything in the world but the reason you are cool toward him sometimes is because you have worked so hard through the day and you are too tired to be the kind of wife you wish to be If you are not financially able to have someone help you suggest to your husband that he get someone to help you two days a week say on Monday and Friday On Monday try getting a big washing and ironing done which will enable you and the children to have clean clothes all week also you will have more time for outside interest On Friday clean house thoroughly so on Saturday and Sunday you can touch it up without too much time The girl could wash and iron any extras the children might need for the week end Just the care of five small children is enough work without all the washing and ironing and other things If he will take you and the children with him places that will be fine but if not do not stay cooped in the house If he raves and has tantrums pay no attention Just be calm
