The NROTC program offers to single young men between the ages of 17 and 2l an opportunity to receive four complete years of college training at government expense and receive draft exemption as long as they remain members of the program. Application blanks for the tests are being distributed at Tyler High School and at the recruiting station here.

They must be mailed to the Naval Examination Center at Princeton, N. J. I prior to Nov. 22. Hunsucker said all applicants who.

are accepted, must be able to pass rigid physical examinations equivalent to physicals given midshipmen at the U. S. Naval Academy. NROTC students who complete their programs, successfully may become regular officers in the Navy. A student who is accepted will be sent to any one of the 52 participating colleges he chooses provided he can pass entrance requirements at the school of his choice.

Besides receiving his tuition, fees, books etc. a student also will receive $600 each year to help defray cost-of-living expenses. The NRQTC student enters his school as a civilian student, but will be required to take Naval Science and history courses and drill in a unit each week. During off-school time in the summers, the students will be required to participate in Navy cruises. The NROTC' program, according to Hunsucker, offers many advantages for high graduates.

It offers educational opportunities to many who probably never would have the same opportunities otherwise. Further information on the program may be obtained from the Tyler Navy Recruiting Station in the Postoffice building in Tyler. INDIANAPOLIS, 9 (IP). Sen. William E.
