John Mulyea, 56, of 8 Riverside was arrested last Feb. 4 by State Police and is being tried in Rensselaer County Court before Judge' Lawrence J. Bizzarro. He was indicted by the Rensselaer County grand jury May 15 and pleaded innocent to the charge May 20.

Richard Reilly, attorney for the defendant, was expected to finish cross examination of State Police Trooper Thomas E. Gill, the arresting officer, and proceed to his own case. Rensselaer County Assistant District Attorney Kyran P. Mol- ley'Jr. is prosecuting the case for the people.
