The corona appeared strikingly like that of the eclipse in India in IS98. The Cabot expedition has the only apparatus in the world that will give short exposures on the bright inner corona while giving long exposures on the faint part at the same time on the same plate. The pictures taken vary from two to twelve-hundredths of a second at the moon's limb, and four to eight seconds at the outer Jim- It, two plates giving four to eight-hundredths inside and four and eight seconds outside exposures, with intermediate exposures for intermediate places.
