To get a good orowd at Ilteldwin part, first-class ball must be played. Manager Moffett realizes this, and is going to have the best team this year be has ever had. Knoxville people irnm ateid ball when they sue It and nothing else will suit them.

This has been "early dPmonstrosted in the past and the success of the season rears upon the kind of ball played in the first twelve or fifteen games. A bad start is liable to ruin the season so far as good attendance is concerned and Manager Moffett realizing this, will no doubt have the best team obtainable to come here and start the ball rolling. No contracts have as yet been signed for the season, and Manager Moffett does not care to sign players end then have them jump their contracts, but enough is 'known about the- malte-u of the teem to Insure first-class px, during the coming season. John Flournoy, the Indian's crack center fielder, was sent a contraet by the manager of the Charleston, C. team, which is in the Southeastern League, but this he has failed to sign and it is more than probable that be will weer the uniform of the Indians again this season.

Algernon Crawley will also be with the Indians and the outfield will be composed of Moffett. Flournoy and Crawley. John Jobe has signet) a contract to play second base for Savannah, Ga. in the Southeastern League. He is liable to jump it, however, and play in Knoxville.

If he does he will be played in the field end Craw. ley will bold down. the Initial bag. 'Manager Moffett has secured the services of two crack ipitchersJones, who was with the Louisville League team last year, and Condiff, who was with the Atlanta independent team.
