Supplies of most varieties are abundant.and wholesale prices are modest, the USDA Marketing Service reported this week. Also claiming best-buy honors his week on the basis of price and availability are Tokay grapes, :abbage, carrots, cucumbers, let- uce, greens and green onions, on- ons, iemons, peppers,. round red potatoes, sweet potatoes and tomatoes. Grapefruit and oranges from South Texas began arriving in early-season abundance Ihis week. Wholesale prices are lower and quality is generally well received. Cucumbers and squash are ilightly lower than a week ago. Prices on snap beans, broccoli, weet corn, limes and radishes :re higher. Onions and potatoes have a higher tendency. Shipments )f peaches and nectarines are towing at end-of-season prices. Imooth, light-green avocadoes are »eginning to replace dark-skinned •arieties as the season changes. 'rice* are higher. (AP) - 'articipants in a Knoxville Journal poll voted nearly 2-1 in favor of moving the United Nations leadquarters out of the United States. Bake 24 cupcakes from second package; cool. Remove liners from cupcakes. Prepare 1 package Pillsbu r y Fluffy White Frosting Mix as directed. Tint a deep pink with food coloring. Place one cake layer on a round tray or plate, at least 15 inches in diameter; frost layer completely. Arrange 13 cupcak e s around layer, closely, so that they touch the frosted layer. Cats Limited by Law To Three Per Home DETROIT (AP)—The Highland Park City Council has voted that no home ra'uy have more than three cats. Violators will be subject to a $50 fine and-or 90 days in jail. The ruling came after Police Chief Dewey T. Schultz told the council of numerous complaints of cats causing disturbances.
