Second Baptisf Building Plans To Be Presented The night worship hour at Second Baptist Church will be' given over to the planning and survey committee. This Committee will ask the church to approve a $430,000 building and remodeling program. This will include 3 new buildings; (l) Adult-Choral Music (2) Administration (3) Youth-Fellowship; plus remodeling of the present activities building, auditorium, and education facilities. This program also includes the paving of all existing parking areas. The planning and survey committee has been at work for about one year and is composed of Charles Albright, chairman, Sid Ellis, Oscar Young, Johnny Lashlee, G. B. Hollingshead, Mrs. Caye Kominek, Mrs. Edward Roberson, Mrs. T. F. Odom, Sam Cotter and Rev. Roy Cloudt. Bitsy Davis, architect for the church, will be on hand to explain the suggested work along with the committee. Troy Dale, of the A. B. Culbertson Bond Company, will present the plans for financing. Rev. Roy Cloudt, pastor, will bring the morning message entitled "Worthy Is The Lamb." An auditorium adult Bible class will be taught at 9:45 a.m. Sunday by the pastor. Smith has announced his retirement as president of Whittier College to head the Richard Nixon Institution of Human Affairs, a teaching and research center with a library dealing with portions of the President's life. Nixon is an alumnus of the college. Smith, Whittier president since 1951, said Wednesday the Nixon institution will have three or four full-time professors and emphasize "teaching the benefits of the free enterprise system." Smith taught Nixon constitutional government at Whittier in 1934. "He was not a good student in the traditional sense," Smith said, "but he was an uncommon student."
