The committee recommendations were quickly approved at a general ; session of the 10-state con. ference, called by Gov. Johnston Murray of Oklahoma- Murray said he would distribute copies of the recommendations to governors of the other nine states and that.he plans to hold future meetings. - "§t| .Murray called the two-day conference in an effort to work out uniform regulation of interstate traffic/States represented at the meeting included Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, Kansas, Utah and Oklahoma. Coast Guard Reserve Recriiiting Extended The U.S. Cosist Guard recruiting office for inactive reserves will be open in Houston'; for another month, it was announced today. The office was opened in April to enlist eligible men between the ages of 17 through 35 for inactive duty training in the Houston Coast Guard Reserve Traniing Unit for port security. All men In the Houston and Baytown areas are eligible to enlist, ..with or without prior service and ~with dependents. Members attend weekly meetings with the -unit each Tuesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Civil Defense Building in Houston.
