This automatic letter opener was purchased when it became apparent that the volume of mall —many water bill payments—coining Into the office was taking considerable employee time to open, The machine expedites this operation. Pounds and pounds of clothing, food and other needed articles v,ere sent to the flooded area. •• In May St. Anthony's Catholic Church sponsored a barbecue and bazaar, held at Vrazels Park. DANBURY CC SPONSORS YULE DECOR The Danbury Chamber of Commerce succeeded In thp first Christmas lighting and decoration contest ever held In Danbury. Plans for another Christmas lighting contest will be led again this year by the Chamber. Expanded competition is expected. This year tlie group plans to award two plaques, instead of one—one each for tlie best religious and traditional decorations. Members also approved donations of funds to install eight central weather boxes so that more street lights can be used.
