Jack'll Do His Best For He Likes Pampa; He Serves Your Car In just 16 days, Spring will be on us. Mother and daughter will be decked out in new spring coats and dresses and those inevitable hats. Junior will have a far-away look in his eyes. Dad's step will be lighter —but the old bus that has lasted them so long may be as neglected as a worn-out army mule. Jack Vaughn, at his service station at 501 S. Cuyler, would like to drrss up your car for spring. Take a look at Leapin' Lena. Jack will bet you two-to-one that she possibly needs a washing and lubrication job, to say nothing of some of that good Phillips spring tonic—Phillips 66 gasoline and motor oil. Or. if it's shoes the family wants, then don't forget Jack. He can outfit your car with a set of snappy, long-lasting Lee tires with socks (tubes) that entails a minimum of cost and brings the maximum in value. Or, if Lena gets a puncture, and looks a little run down at the heels, Jack can fix that too, with the kind of expert, fast tire repairing that you'll go for in a big way. After Lena goes through the mill at Jack's, let him add that special polishing and waxing job. Then step I up and take a look "at yourself in the mirror—the car will do. If you don't look as proud as the father of twins, then Jack will figure he's headed for the poorhouse—but you can bet he likes Pampa, so he's going to do the kind of job you like. The attendants at Jack Vaughn's dance around singing Gilbert and Sullivan ditties this spring, but they're sure you will feel like doing it after getting all that service. Just look for the traditional Phillips shield at the corner of South Cuyler and Brown—and you'll find them always courteous and willing to serve you the way you want to be served. Sdey, March 3,1946 PAMPAHIWS Does Your Car Heal? Chances Are Radlaior Is Dirty-See the Eagle Many motorists, within the next few weeks, will begin to notice that their cars heat when they drive for any distance. Chances are that, with the weather becoming warmer, this will be caused by a sluggish radiator. The Eagle Radiator shop, located at 516 Went Foster; street, reminds motorists that they can be remedied with a rlcan-up job. Some radiators probably will need repair work, or re-coved, to make them function properly. Eagle Radiator shop, which was established here in 1926, has been owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. York for the past 12 months. Mrs. Yor is bookkeeper for the concern. There are three radiator repairmen on hand besides Mr. York. With the exception of about 18 months, Mr. Dewey Wilson has been connected with the shop for the past 16 years. Others employed there, to handle any kind of radiator, are Mr. L. O. Mosher and Mr. Alvin Bass. Mr. York assures all prospective customers that his workmen will dr, their best to justify their business*. OIL FIELD WORKER Walter N. Hulsey, SSMB2.':, USNR, husband of Betty Jo Hulsey, was discharged Peb. 27 by the U. S. naval personnel separation center, Terminal Island, San Pedro, Calk'. Walter enlisted in the navy in July, 1944 at which time he was employed in the oil fields by the Southern Petroleum Co. He plans to vtum to his former work.
