Toaslmasfers Install New Paris Officers The new officers for Ibs Paris Toaslmasfer Club were installed Monday night by area governor Dr. Don Riddle at the Ladies Night meeting. The officers for the com i n g year are Harry Fry, preside n t, Bob Xorment, educational vice president, Frank Grimes, secretary-treasurer, and Gyles N o r- wood, sergeanl-al-arnis. Dr. Ricidle, in his address to the new officers, challenged them to try new ideas and "not to fear enthusiasm and be ready to go beyond the mere routine duties of their offices in serving the club'" Prepared speeches for the meeting were given by Joe, King. "The Key To Our Economy" with Harry Fry as critic. Bob Norment spoke on (he "Reactions of a Resction- ary" with Sam Stone as critic. Gyles Norwood served as critic for Jim Mussetter's speech, '"Are We Losing Our Minds?". Mrs. Frank Grimes was selected as the best table topic .speaker. The best speaker was Jim MusselLer and the best critic was Harry Fry. Randy Luzader was the toastmaster for the regular even i n g program, and Claude Kibble was topicmaster. Program evaluation was directed by Harold Hodges assisted by Dr. E. P. Dickson as grammarian and Frank Grimes as balloleer. In fact, a record high total of 126 pages is devoted to toys a.id games. Sears 1960 Christmas gift catalog will be distributed to eight million American homes, the company said. Idabel Rally To Hear Kerr Oklahoma News Bureau IDABEL, Okla. — A Democratic party rally featuring U. S- Senator Robert S. Kerr as principal speaker, will be held next Tuesday night, October 11, on the McCurtain County court house lawn here. The rally is one of a series to be held in the Third Congressional District of Oklahoma this month. : Senator Kerr will review progress made in development of water resources and soil conservation projects in McCurtain County. Doctor Resumes Idabel Practice Oklahoma News Bureau IDABEL, Okla. - Dr. A. M. Glarkson, son of the late Dr. A.W. Clarkson of Valliant, has announced the opening of an office in Idabel for the practice of medicine, surgery and obstetrics. A native of Valliant, where his mother still lives, he is a Vallianl High School graduate and of the University of Oklahoma's medical college. He practiced at Valliant from 1941 to 1950 and in Idabel five years, then he took resident training at Methodist Hospital, Dallas, Tex., and a year of post graduate work at Johns-Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Aid. DETROIT Paris News Service A. B. Patterson of Detroit was at home over the weekend from the Veterans Hosital at McKinney, where he is having tr ea t- ment. Mr- and Mrs. Cecil Latimer who were in Dallas Friday and Saturday, brought home their grandson, Warren Lee, with them for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Rodgers and daughter were here during the weekend for a visit with his father, L. M. Rodgers. Pau!
