Thomas Jr. of Chile, participated recently 1 n Exercise Swift Strike II which took place at Ft. Jackson, S.C. His unit, the 7-ffllh Military Police Bn. of Ft. Hood, Texas, departed on July 18 and arrived at Ft. Jackson July 22, 17 days p'rior to the beginning of the exercise. This was done so that they might be on hind to escort military convoys and enforce mill - tary law in th« area. During the exercise itself, the unit handled a prisoner of war camp and interrogation center. They processed 2,837 prisoners during the event. Thomas [jraduated from Braz osport High School in 1959.
