Most gasoline used hy farmers will qualify for a re fund except that which is u.^ed on the highway even though the farmer may be transporting agrir' 1 tural products. The farmer may also claim ;< refund on gasoline used hy >• neighbor, or a custom operator performing services on his farm, hut the farmer may not claim a refund for gasoline used in performing custom operations on another farm where he is not the owner, tenant, or operator, I n other words, only the farmer on whose farm the gasoline is used may claim the refund. A pamphlet giving all information on the Federal gasoline tax refunds may also he secured from my office and will help the farmer to understand exactly how to file for this refund. The law will not permit the payment for refund on applications postmarked after Sept. 30. H, H.
