and Neal DeBelle. where he was spending a vacation visiting relatives. This was learned yesterday in a cablegram to his wife. Dallas was in good health May 21 when he left by plane for Italy in company with Charles Maso, Freeland masonry contractor who returned home three weeks ago. Born in Italy, Mr.

Dallas came to this country in 1921 and first took up residence in Mount Carmel where he began working at a collier. A 69-year-old Hazletonian vacationing for the past two weeks with friends at their home in Hobbie, died suddenly last night at 9:30 o'clock, He is Thomas of 130 North "Wyoming street, who retired in 1950 from a janitorial position with the Pennsylvania Power Light here. Mr. and Mrs. East, she is the former Cora Stout from Dorrance and has been an invalid for the past 10 years, have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

Chris Jensen and Mr. East had been in apparently good health. But last night he went to the back yard of the Jensen property to close the chicken coop and when those in the house didn't see his flashlight any longer, they investi-l gated and found him dead. The deceased was born in Dover, N. and came to Hazleton as a young man.

He worked with the power company for 19 years before retiring. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Mrs. John Triska, of Philadelphia, two brothers, John of Hazleton, and of Allentown, and three stepchildren, Carl Stein, Hazleton, and Emerson Stein and Mrs. James Donnelly, both of Philadelphia. The funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 o'clock from the Cragle Funeral Home, Hobbie, with interment in the Dorrance Cemetery.

Members of the Sons of Italy Lodge attended the funeral and representing the lodge were the following pallbearers: Anthony Rizzo, Anthony Eramo, John Polumbo, Joseph Mascarell, John Orlando and Nazarino Patriotti.
