George M. Hitchcock, city smoke abatement engineer, said a resolution calling for such standardization was passed at a recent sectional meeting of the Air Pollution and Smoke Abatement Association in Akron. Need for the action was pointed out In a letter Hitchcock received from Robert T. Greibling, Pitts- burgh, executive secretary of the association. Greibling said he had received dustfall records from a number of cities but the data is quite varied and the association has been j warned they do not prove anything. Cumberland is one of the few cities which analyzes dustfall, Hitchcock said, adding the method has been standard in Great Britain for about 30 years. Some cities, Hitchcock said, do not measure dustfall but base progress chiefly on observation of smoke stacks. Husband Gets Divorce A divorce was granted yesterday in Circuit Court to William E.
