MRS. LAWRENCE VERWERS Eleanor Schoonover and Monroe Man Wed at Church CLEAR LAKE Schoonover, DCS ter of Mr.atui Miss Moines, daugh- Mrs. Fred A. Schoonover, Clear Lake, Sunday became the bride of Lawrence D. Verwers, Monroe.

He is the son Of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Verwers, Prairie City. The double ring ceremony was performed at the First Methodist ghurch, Des Moines.

The cere- oiony was read by Dr. C. C. Bocon before the church chancel which was banked with glads, yellow daisies and palms. The bride was attended bv Prairie City High School, servec the Korean War.

He farms will nis brother at Monroe where the couple will live. They left on a wedding trip to the Black Hills. Miss Rosemary Hanei, Prairie City, as maid of honor, and Donna Jean VVangeu, Eau Claire, as bridesmaid. Loren Verwers, twin brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. James Schoonover and Clifford Verwers, brothers of the couple, and Charles Ruggles, were ushers.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white chantilly lace gown over satin anc nylon net, styled with fitted bodice, dropped waistline, scoop fteck and waltz length bouffanl akirt. A fingertip veil of bridal IJlusion was attached to a tiara dotted with seed pearls. Her pearls were a gift of the bridegroom and she carried a white orchid with shower of stephanotis on a prayer book. Her attendants wore identically styled gowns of azure blue nylon over taffeta. They carried colonial bouquets of! blue and ivhite and yellow and white carnations.

Mrs. Schoonover wore a steel blue lace dress with white accessories at her daughter's wedding. Mrs. Verwers wore a sky blue lace dress with white accessories. Both had corsages of pink roses.

About 125 guests were served at the reception in the church parlors. Hostesses were the Misses Mary Rime, Ruth Reppe, and Halcyon Tallakson, Minneapolis; Nancy Dutton, Ames; Mrs. Clifford Venvers, Iowa City, Mrs. Hall Kruelz and Margaret Hopkinson, Des Moines. Mrs.

Verwers graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended St. Olnf College and Drake University. She is employed by Banker's Life Insurance Des Moines. The bridegroom, a graduate of BIBLE SCHOOL PROGRAM GARNER The Bible schoo program of the Peace Reformec hUrch will be held at the enure! at 10 a.m. on July 4.

Hansons Ordained Into Ministry CLEAR and Mrs T. M. Hanson, 200 S. 3rd have received word of the ordination to the ministry of their grandson, Charles L. Williams, Oklahoma City, formerly of Salina, Kan.

Mr. Williams was ordained June 21 at the First Presbyterian Church, Salina, where he was at one time a member. He will be installed July 1 at Natoma, by the Presbytery of Osborne as pastor of the Presbyterian Summer Schedule Set by Garner Methodists First Methodis Church in Garner will observe the following hours for worship serv ice beginning Sunday and contin uing through August. Sunday school is at 9:15 and worship serv ice at 10 a.m., according to the Rev. Trevor Baskerville.
