This room, which is the suTne size at the others, was expected to remain empty for some time, but the stock was found so large that a great many good are already stored there. When a sale of goods is completed in the wholesale room, they are collected together and carried down bv the elevator to the basement where a room 40x40 is finely prepared for a packing and billing room. In the basement, too, is a steam boiler 16 ft. by 44 in, by which the entire block.from top to bottom will be heated; and the pipes and radiators are so arranged that this can be done with a pressure of only five to seven pounds of steam. The outer corner of the basement is to be finished for an office for rent. There is a complete set of from top to bottom of the nilding, and the whole is lighted with gas.
