gratitude tt those who perished in honor and sacrifice To the American legion has been consigned 7000 of these poppies and it should be the purpose of every true Pawhuskan to see that no man woman or child in the city fails to wear one of these on Decoration Day When the popy laden helmet is presented to your consideration let the thought also of those who cannot buy them entor your consciousness and not restrict your purcha your own immediate needs This in substance is the admonition of the patriotic societies throughout the country and Pawhuska will demonstrate that she is no exception to time ago stating the reduction was subject to the approval of the headquarters of the carpenters' union at Indianapolis The carpenters will get $8 a day from this date while the foreman will get $9 a day Of course the average reader will understand that the carpenter does not work more titan about two-thirds of the time and more often one-half of the time on account of the weather and other
