James Wixson well known owner of Wixson' Pure Oil Service Station in Wilmington was born and reared in the state of Michi gan He entered the army in 1940 served for 13 months in the in fantry and from there he transferred to the Army Air Corp He served in the Air Corp during World War II He attended Air plane Mechanics School at Chanute ield and following that came to the Clinton County Air orce Base and Wright Patterson Air orce Base As an airplane mechanic he worked at both the local base and the Dayton base It Was while working at the Clinton Air orce Base thqt he met his vyife In fact she was employed by a local dry cleaning establishment and Jim made her acquainten ance when leaving clothes to be dry cleaned He met her in 1943 and they were married in 1946 i ranier savs he enjoys
