State police Investigator Mike Francis said Tuesday police are trying to determine whether Johnny Zinn, 44, and Wallace Randolph Pierce, 24, were involved In the disappearance of Debbie Lansdell more than five months ago. Lansdeils sports car was found Monday in the parking lot of an Albuquerque apartment complex and police were combing it for clues, Francis said "The.possibllity has been raised that Zinn and Pierce were involved (in the Lansdell disappearance) because of the similarity of the crimes and we will check on that," Francis said. He said finding the 29-year-old nurses car was the only break police have had. The car was sitting in that parking lot for several months and nobody had messed with it, Francis said.

Somebody thought it was a good hiding place and it was. Zinn and Pierce have been rharged in 24-count indictment with murder, kid-napping, rape, conspiracy and other crimes in the Jan. 12 disappearance of Daniels, 22, a University of New Mexico student. She was abducted from the driveway of her fiances Albuquerque home and her body was found a week later in Jemez Mountains. She had been shot once in the head.

Two other men, Sidney T. Sliger, 20, and James Scartaccini, 17, are rharged with kidnapping and conspiracy. Affidavits filed earlier in the case said Zinn ordered Daniels abducted so she could be used in pornographic films, but later ordered her killed. Tuesday, an Albuquerque newspaper reported that another woman said Zinn asked her to participate in aporno-graphic film three days before Daniels disappeared. 'The 19-year-old unnamed woman told police she was frightened by Zinns talk of violence and left town the day before Daniels disappeared, the newspaper, said.

The newspaper said the 19-year-old woman is expected to testify in a preliminary hearing set to begin Monday for Zinn and Pierce.
