Cherry has promised to follow the recommendations of Highway Audit Commission to remove 3500 miles off of highway system (mainly all roads not carrying 500 car count).

Cherry has also stated that practically all highway money should be spent on our main trunk lines. Are We Going to Sit Idly By and See Our Farm-to-Market Roads Wrecked! This means that the following roads in Mississippi County would be taken off the highway system: No. 119, Dell North; No. Junction to state line; No. 137, Armorel to state line; No.

150, Yarbro to No. 9 and Huffman; No. 151, Blythevilie south to Promised Land; No. 148, Blytheville south to Mississippi River; and 148, Burdette west to Lowden. We cannot afford this.
