Fedgo Is August Bride Wed In New York City Church Marie La Rose New Prefect Of MPB Group Marie LaRose was elected prefect of the BJessed Virgin Mary Sodality of the Most Precious Blood Church at a meeting held last night. Other officers elected were Emily LaRocca, vice-Prefect; Carmella LaRocco, secretary; and Sandra Scatton, treasurer. Chairmen of the various sodality committees elected were Victoria Molina, social life; Pat Hig-gins, Our Lady; Anna Jean Cameron, publicity; Carmella Colum-bo, Eucharist; Joan Greco, Apostolic; and Carmella Montone and Cathy Crease, Catholic truth.

A retreat will be held at The Villa of Our Lady of the Poconos on October 3, 4 and 5. Those members interested in attending the retreat are asked to contact Marie LaRose at GL 5-3092. Rebekah Lodge Plans Events Mrs. JMma JDrumheller was elected noble grand, and Miss Betty Allen, vice grand, at last night's meeting of Lady Jeremiah Rebekah Lodge, at the Masonic Temple. Other officers will be appointed by the two elected officers. Installation will be held Thursday, Oct. 9.

Initiation of candidates will be held at 7:30 p. m. Thursday, Sept. 25, with Mrs. Minnie Totten of the degree team in charge.

This team will rehearse next Thursday. Mrs. Alma Lonzer was elected delegate to the State Assembly to be held in Pittsburgh next June. The charter was draped" in memory of Mrs. Jenny Smith and Mrs.

Mrs. John Ferdinand, social chairman of the evening, had as her table decoration cornucopias filled with grapes, tomatoes, potatoes, apples, mangoes and plums, to carry out a harvest theme. The gift of the evening was re ceived by Mrs. V. J.

Capparell. Mrs. Marie Calvani conducted the meeting in the absence of Mrs. Louis J. Fierro, president.

Hi Jinx Complete Initiation Plans About 40 girls attended the organizational meeting of the Hi Jinx Cfub of West Hazleton High School last night. Plans were completed for the informal initiation which will be held in the school gymnasium next Thursday. Judy Baigis presided during the business meeting. The mother of the bride wore a pink Chantilly lace dress with matching accessories. The mother of the bridegroom wore a Dior silk dress and matching accessories.

Both mothers wore corsages of red roses. A reception was held for the immediate families at the home of the bride, after which the couple left on a honeymoon trip to Cape Cod, Montreal and Quebec, Canada. Eighty Nurses At District Meeting Eighty nurses representing the Luzerne County District of the Pennsylvania Nurses' Association attended the bi-monthly organizational meeting at St. Joseph Hospital last night. Miss Anne Fertally, president of the St. Joseph Hospital Nurses Guild, introduced Miss Audrey Jones, Kingston, president of the Luzerne County nurses, at the general meeting.

Miss Jones presided during the board meeting which was held previous to the main session. A program on civil defense was sponsored by the Visiting Nurses Association under the direciion of Miss Ruth K. Bommer, director-supervisor. Bus Trip Planned By Drums Society A bus trip to St. Anthony's Catacombs, Long Island, N. was planned last night at a meeting of the Altar and Rosary Society of the Good Shepherd Church, Drums. The trip will be made on Saturday, October 18. Mrs.
