associates bees me the owners of a arge tract of land about two miles from Broken Arrow The acreage purchased will be eub divided and planted In fruit trees and sold to the purchasers on the installment plan Mr Jaskson and associates caring for and raising the 'fruit trees until they come Into boarlng is also understood that a company to be known as the Broken Arrow Fruit Lands Association has been organized to handle the proposition and If the first of their tracts are disposed of to the satisfaction of the parties interested other tracts will he laid gut and planted and put on the market There has never been any doubt that this section of Oklahoma will raise peaches and other fruits in abundance and it was only necessary to demonstrate the fact by having a wide a wake hustler of the calibre of our friend Jackson to start the ball rolling By the sub-division of large tracts contemplated it places the raising of fruit in the bands of any one has the stability and stamina to lay by a few dollars each' month This will in a few yenr9 enable the thrifty clerk farm boy merchant banker or professional man to acquire one or more of these tracts at a cost that one good crop will pay for all the outgo If If our readers will encourage this Industry as no doubt they will wt will see Broken Arrow the Mecca of the fruit buyer and the home of the great canning industry in a few vears are told that Mr Jackson and his associates have made a thorough investigation of conditions in different sections of Oklahoma and Arkansas and have come to the conclusion that Broken Arrow is the best location Although the farming land is valuable they have not hesitated In coming here to start their project This industry handled as we have outlined will give a large number of people the opportunity to own a small fruit farm and not know how they paid for it As we have already mentioned this proposition appealB not only to the men or women who can purchase only a small tract on the installment plan but we are told that one half of the tracts already arranged for have been taken by the representative citizens of Broken Arrow and Muskogee who were well able to buy in iarger pieces Mr Jackson will be in Broken Arrow again the coming week in company with some of the purchasers of the tracts already platted and we will end eavor to get all of the facts so that our readers may know just wiat is going on We hope that the citizens of Broken Arrow and our farmer friends will encourage Mr Jackson and his associates in this project and purchase one or more of these small orchards thereby helping in a small way to make Broken Arrow the headquarters '-ti -C i v-- v' The gave a farewell reception last Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs Elmore for Mrs Ransom who
