Jewelry Takes Rightful Place As Fashion's Gayest Accessory REDLANDS DAILY ?>CTS Tuesday, Mir. 10, 1959 — Pagt 9 pinks and corals — is big news. Turquoise, that universally Mattering color, works some special beauty magic with sun tanned skins. Greens and the surprise LEAVES ARE OUT IN FULL BLOOM—-Wherever jewelry is seen, there is evidence of floral glitter. Here two matching leaf pins in gold and stone adorn the lapel of a spring suit. Smaller similar leaves are used for earrings. The maple leaf pin is made of a fine network of gold and brilliants. Leaf and flower motifs will appear in a wide variety of necklaces, earrings and pins this season. Handbags Are Novel Handbags are remaining big, bold and. for spring, especially gay. Leathers, in smooth, grained or brushed textures, are decidedly brilliant in color. Beads, prints, metals, ribbons and flowers accent the new, straw, cloth and novelty handbags. For after-five, elongated clutch bags will be better than ever. Width rather than length shapes Scarves And Stoles Filmy, soft, enormous stoles in silks and chiffons — light-weight mohair and wool jersies — will cover the Empire. .
