Tomorrow: Construction f"n with two corrugated boxes! 4-Year Extension of Oil Compact Probaible WASHINGTON (AP) — A four- year extension of the Interstate Oil Compact Commission moved a step nearer Tuesday with Senate approval of a resolution giving congressional consent. Action was by voice vote. The resolution now goes to the House. The compact would be extended four years from Sept. 1. It was originally created Feb. IS, 1935 by representatives of Oklahoma, Texas. California and New Mexico and was designed to work for conservation of oil and gas. The compact now includes 30 oil producing states. (AP) — Robert McKsnna, 15, of near Palco, Kan., led law enforcement officers Tuesday on a 100-mile-an- hour chase that ended when he smashed his car into another automobile at a roadblock. McKenna was thrown to the pavement.' He wag taken to a hospital for observation and treatment, but his injuries appeared minor. Sheriff Ed Houser of neighboring Ellis County said he spotted McKenna's car being operated in a reckless manner on a country road near Ellis and tried to stop it, but McKenna sped west on U. S. 40. The sheriff said he pursued at, speeds exceeding 100 m.p.h. and radioed for a roadblock. A truck and a car were placed across the highway. The destroyer crossed the^English Channel from Portsmouth, England, where Eisenhower made scenes in his D-Day headquarters.
