They are the families of alcoholics. What could be a festive occasion may often end In atraglc nightmare according to the Al- Anon Family Group In Forest Park. Al-Anon, with more than 3,500 groups and centers throughout the w.irld, offers help and understanding to those who live with the problem <>f alcoholism. The organization Is compjsed of both male and female spouses and rel- latlves of the alcoholic. Rehabilitation and accurate Information are often necessary for the nonalcoholic who lives under the fears and anxieties caused by the alcoholic problem. Those who are Interested in getting help In the local Al-A-ion group may call 8-18-2707. A Gift For All Seasons The Christmas season is here again. Once morn we arc faced with the pleasant, hut often frustrating chore of selecting the right gifts for family and friends. We can make it a lot easier for ourselves, if we join the many thousands who regularly give U. S. Savings Bonds. Their higher rate of interest puts them in the bargain class. The Chicago Daily News nami'd Its All Chicago Area Team naming Herman Wogerich and giving honorable mention to Scheld and Ballaurer again. The All-State Team in the Chicago Dally New's Nov. 24th issue again pictured H^rma.! W t .,'orlch. I'm ,'ustly proud if my son but also of these two other boys. Lehman, was a guest speaker before a State Commission formed to study education in the State of Illinois. This commission Is particularly interested In urban education, studying such areas related to the funding base, local control of schools, accountability, and teacher education. Mr. Lehman will speak on the topic of Accountability from the point of view of the Practitioner. Members of the commission Include five State Senators, five State Representatives and D;-.
