He said the new setup was necessary because the number of telephones served by Bell has more than doubled since the end •A World War II. Raise German U-Boat Sunk in World War II KIEL, Germany (UP)—A Nazi German submarine has been salvaged after 12 years on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. But it will never see service in the new West German navy. It's too big. Salvage craft towed the electric U-boat 2540 into this port Wednesday. It had been scuttled off Flensburg, between Germany and Denmark, in March 1945 to prevent it from falling into the hands of the victorious Allied forces. The submarine, lying under feet of water, was found last February. It was raised by the German salvage ships Energie and Ausdauer following their return from salvage operations in the Suez Oanal. The submarine was the most modern and best equipped underwater craft bftilt by Nazi Germany, Annual Smorgasbord Montlcello Lincoln Gym (South Door Entrance) JUNE 29th-^l:30-8:00 P. M.
