and Mrs. Harold A. Shaffer, of Gregory, and Gaylord C. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Don Anderson of Mills, Nebr, The evening service took place in the Methodist church here, with the Rev. Richard Leach officiating. Organist was Mrs. Inez Vanden Boesch of Gregory, and soloists were Jerry and Dick Shaffer of lona. and Samuel F. Mead were guests of honor at an open house June 10 at their home in observance of their 25th wedding anniversary. The reception was hosted by their sons, Richard J. Mead of Vermillion and Jack L. Mead of Lake Andes.

Others assisting were Mrs. Richard J. Mead, Denise Gasper, Mrs. Julia Gasper, Mrs. Roy Dvorak, -Diane Carda and Ella Mae Sorensen.

Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Carda, Diane and Craig of Denver, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W.

Mead and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Card of Sioux City, Mrs. Mary Vosberg of Rockwell City, Iowa, Mrs. Ralph Kraning of 'Rapid City, Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas K. Ptak and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Musilek of Tyndall, Mr.

and Mrs. Tony Chytka and boys of Yankton, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tupa of Dallas, Mr. and Mrs.

Jerry Sorensen of Urbana, 111., and Mrs. Wm Burt of Dallas, Texas. Leona Mae Gasper and Samuel Mead were married June 6, 1942 at Sioux City. sister, Miss Mavis Shaffer of Rapid City. Miss Lennie Lupton of Hastings, and Miss Karen Zeel of Menno were bridesmaids.

The bridegroom's brother, Joe Anderson of Hastings, was best man, and attendants were Tom Thomas of Valentine, and Arthur Bailey of Dallas. Ushers were Hal Shaffer of Colome, Randy Anderson of Mills Richard Brickman of Can ton and Marlin Nuss of Tripp. Flower girl was Andrea Anderson and ring bearer was Bruce Shaffer. A reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Assisting were Mrs.

Lyle Shaffer, Mrs. John C. Anderson, Mrs. Allen Sveshe, Gwen Anderson, Mary Gardner, Mrs. Hal Schatfer, Jennifer Anderson, Mrs.

Marvin Christiansen and Barbara Cook. The couple will reside at 303 South 16th Street in Norfolk, Nebr. Mrs. Anderson will continue working at Duling Optical and Mr. Anderson will be employed as a construction worker and will continue his studies toward a veterinary degree.

Dorothy Vacek Is CDA Prexy At Lake Andes By Republic News Service LAKE ANDES At a meeting of Court St. Theresa of the Catholic Daughters of America on June 8, Dorothy Vacek was installed as Grand Regent. Other officers installed at that time were Martha Nelson, vice- Grand Regent; Rose Donovan, treasurer; Pamela Soulek, historian; Mary Carda, financial secretary; Georgine Chytka, monitor; Betty Becker, sentinel; Ann Carda, prophetess; Shirley Payer, lecturer; Emma Mon- eke, organist; and Clara Larsen, Anna Bouza and pella Jerman, trustees. Installing officers were Mrs. Robert Maxwell of Parkston, District Deputy, and Mrs.

Florence Guard of Parkston, assistant monitor. Guest speaker for the evening was the Rev. Nicholas Wilger. Martha Melmer presided at the meeting. Reports were given by Ruth Gracik, Mary Peacock, Rita Bingham, Delia Jerman, Dorothy Vacek, Emma Moneke, Tillie Hakl, Georgine Chytka and Alice Fuchs.

Pam Soulek sang a solo, accompanied by Emma Moneke. Plans for a float in the Fish Day Parade were made. Honored for having perfect attendance for the past year were Pam Soulek, Rita Bingham, Rose Donovan, Mary Carda and Delia Jerman. Mrs. Maxwell, who spoke to the group, was presented a gift from the court by Ruth Gracik.

Rita Bingham presented a gift from the court to Martha Melmer, past Grand Regent. Mrs. Helen Kirwan of St. Rose of Lima Court at Wagner was a guest at 'the meeting. Door prizes were won by Betty Becker, Rose Donovan and Eldora Osienger.

Luncheon was served by Mary Peacock, Adeline Pesicka, Delores Helma, Lillian Lihs, Eldora Osienger and Rita Bruner. Evers of Tyndall, became the bride of Paul E. Vanderlinde, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vanderlinde of Chaska, in the Pius XII Student Center Chapel in Brookings June 3. The Rev.

Louis Kroeger officiated at the exchange of nuptial vows. Judy Bruce was the organist, and the soloist was Nancy Felt. The bride chose Miss Cathy Lewis as her maid of honor, and Mrs. Carmen Auwarter and Marilyn Vanderlinde were bridesmaids. Best man was Larry Vanderlinde, and the attendants were Carmen Auwater and Dennis Hardy.

Flower girl was Connie Luke, and ring bearers were Mark and Randy Vanderlinde. Eddie Vanderlinde was server, and William Heiberger read the Epistle. A reception was held at the student center lounge and dining room. Those assisting were Mr. and Mrs.

Scotland High Class Of 1952 Holds Reunion By Republic News Service SCOTLAND The Scotland High School graduating class of 1952 held their 15th-year reunion icre on Saturday and Sunday in the VFW club rooms. On Saturday a hospitality lour and banquet were held. Each woman in the class was presented with a long-stemmed rose by Richard Pillar of Yankton. Robert Parlet of Sioux Falls was master of ceremonies to a short program.

On Sunday a picnic dinner was held in the club rooms and the group went to the city park. Of the 50 members of the graduating class, 30 were present. Among them were Mr. Parlet, Mr. Pillar, Wayne Baker of Benson, Dick Farus of Faribault, Norbert Shoumaker of Sioux City, James Sedlacek of Scotland.

The members practic ed their Share the Fun skit. The next meeting will be at the home of Barb and Doris Lawson on July 6. Crow Creek 4 The Crow Creek 4 Club met in the William Larsen home, with John Foster presiding. Randy Havlik led the flag salute, and the 4 'pledge was led by Dianne Kroupa.
