Mr. Wahl in employed by the Olin Industries, and his bride is an employe of the Illinois Bell Telephone Alton office. They are graduates of Greenfield High School. Kelrle-Habum Wedding This Afternoon Evangelical and Reformed Church, Eighth and Henry wns the selling this afternoon, al 2 o'clock, for pretty wedding when Miss Marilyn 11a- bum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

William Hahum of Illmo, became the bride of Glenn A. Keirle. The Rev. 1ronard Todd officiated, using the double ring ceremony. Mrs.

Clarice Ferguson was at the organ, and Bill J. Reed sang "Oh, Promise. Mc." "13c- cause" and "The Lord's Praycr." Miss Habum entered the church with her father, who gave her in marriage, and was preceded down the aisle by her sisters, Mrs. Robert Hopke and Miss Sue 1ahum, and Mr. Keirle's sister-in-law, Mrs.

Gordon C. Keirle. Mrs. Hopke was matron of honor and Miss Ilabum and Mrs. Keirle were bridesmaids, Gordon C.

Keirle was best man, and Karl Keaster and William Poe were groomsmen. Donald Sensinan and Loon Chuppel, cousin of the bridegroom, seated the guests. and gladioli arranged in the sanctuary formed a sclting for the bridal party. Miss Habum appenred in gown of white nylon tulle and Chantilly lace, over satin, and her linger-tip length veil was secured with Elizabethan slyled lace cap. She carried a while Bible on which rested a white orchid.

The bridal gown had a smug bodice designed with 2 yoke of illusion and long fitted sleeves ending in points, and 11 full length skirt fashioned with tiers of tulle and lave, Buttons were pluced down the back. Miss Inhum wore A double strand of pearls, a gift from Mr. Keirle, SOn of Mr. and Mrs. C.

J. Keirle of St. Louis, The bride's attendants were attired in frocks of pale yellow nylon marquisette, made with portrait necklines, and full waltz length skirts. They wore headdresses of yellow taffeta, and matching elbow gloves. 'The matron of honor's flowers wore Orange Delight roses.

Guitar Recital nt SWEA Thursday Night Guitar pupils of the Royal School of Musio gave A recital Thursday evening at the Young Women's Christian Association.

The instructors are Miss Belly Franke. Norbert Meier and Allen Milford who played at the close of the program. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Siegrist were in charge of the program.

Miss Davis' marriage to William Parish, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Parish of Jerseyville, will take place May 2. Yellow and green were used for the appointments of the party and the table on which the gifts were arranged, was overhung by a shower umbrella decorated in these colors. Games were played and prizes were awarded to Eunice Ann Grabbe and Sharon Gisy.

Sorority Plans Party Wednesday Lambda Alpha Xi senior chapter, Beta Gamma Upsilon Sorority, will have a gingham and blue jenns party Wednesday night at Camp Talahi Lodge. The party is for couples, and each member and her husband or guest is privileged to bring a guest couple. Mrs. George Fries and Mrs. Charles Studicy are chairmen of the party, and a box supper will be enjoyed.

Women Golfers Plan 'Kick-Off' Membership Open in Arca Association The Grenter Alton Women's Golf Association will hold its first annual "kick-off" mecling at Selhime's, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. All golfing women in the Alton area are invited to attend without any obligation on their part to join the organizatton. Women who are interested wHI be invited to join and participate in all summer golfing events which are to be staged n1. the Alton Municipal Golf Course, each Tuesday starting May 4.

Miss Connell is student at Marquette High School. in her junior year, and qualified in scholarship, leadership, and character. Fete Odd Fellows On Anniversary Carrollton Rebekahs Honor Groups CARROLLTON.

The momhers of the local Rebekah Lodge entertained the members of the advanced degrees of the state 1.O.0.F. Lodge Thursday evening in connection with their regular mecting in the 1.0.0.F. hall. The group were honored in celebration of an anniversary of their organization founded in 1819. In the advanced degree group honored were members of the Patriarch Militant and their auxiliary, the Encampment, and their auxillary, the Samaritans and the Zuannas.

Special honors were given to William Meni of Collinsville who is the warden of the Grand Lodge and Elbert Brasel of Jacksonville, a past grand master. MI's. Nicni and Brasel accompanied their husbands. Following the regular ceremonial of the lodge a short program wAS given with Mrs. Dorothy Brock giving the address of welcome which was followed by two vocal solos by Miss Kathleen Varble with Mrs.

Karr, the art instructor in the Carrollton Community Unit schools will present a program on Art in the School Program illustrated by an art exhibit done by some of the students in her elasses nt the regular meeting of the Carrollton Parent Teacher Association to be held Wednesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. Karr will present the same program at the meeting of the Parents Teacher Association of the Eldred School on Monday April 26. Stuart of the A. P. Stuart Motor Wood River, returned from Detroit, where she attended a meeting of Chrysler dealers, one a series. Over 500 Chrysler dealers attended the meeting were guests of the Chrysler division at a dinner the evening following the meeting. Miss Helen Rose Yeothan and Miss Eva Reiniges are spending Easter week-end with relatives in Lynn, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Goldman 1320 Highland have received word of the birth of a daughter, Jacqueline Frances, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pedroni, at Alameda, Calif.

Herman Hesse of East St. Louis. Miss Molly Radecke, a student at the University of Missouri, Columbia, is spending Easter vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roland F.

Radecke of Washington A written auction of articles presented to the First Unitarian Church by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olsen who have sold their home i in Fairmount preparatory to going to Old Quarry, Leetes Island. Gilford, and New York to reside, netted the church a gratifying amount. The sale was held Wednesday night.

Some articles were withheld from sale and will be used in the church. Among the outstanding articles offered for sale was A wastepaper basket made from a Big Bertha shell. (Big Bertha was A famous type of cannon used by the Germans in World War I). Furniture, fine glassware and china, and paintings by memhers of the Olsen family as well AS other artists were offered for sale, together with books. The auction was open to memhers of the church and their friends, and was held from 7 to 9 o'clock.

As persons interested entered the Wuerker room in the church they were given an opportunity to inspect the display, and to write down the amount 1hey desired to offer as the purchase price. At 8:45 p.m. the auction closed, and the prices were checked. The highest bidder on each Article paid for and "carried off" his "prize." PAUL SMITH Paul Smith, minister of the Concord Church of Christ at Tolleshoro, will be the evangelist in a two weeks' evangelistic revival al First Christian Church. Although Mr.

Smith will not. until Monday, the local minister, M. M. Scott, will begin the series of scrives Sunday, Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Services will not he held on Saturday evenings.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of the Cincinnati Bible Seminary of Cincinnati, and has had sevoral years of work in the ministry since' his graduation and ordination. Practical Nurses Meet At Hospital Tea Room Licensed Practical Nurses Registry met. Thursday night. in the lea room of St.

Joseph's Hospital, and were addressed by Miss Celest Reif, R.N., an instructor of practical nurses at Olin Vocational School and advisor of District 10 Association of Practical Nurses. Miss Reit discussed "Preferred nursing magazines and their importance in keeping the licensed practical nurse up to date in the field of nursing." Mrs. W. S. Hallam, 3130 Leverett is registrar of licensed practical nurses.

Area Baptist Men to Meet at Foster Church The Men's Federation of Brothcrhoods and Bible classes of the Alton vicinity will meet Monday night al Fosterburg Baptist Church at 8 p.in.
