ie Socic Miss Ruth Brookes conducted Christmas devotions during the diiiiner party of Sara Watsom Class of the Calvary United Methodist Church Thursday night at the Travelers Hotel. Miss Irene Firth discu.ssed an article by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and several members read items. Covers were arranged for 13 at tables decorated with pine, candles and Christmas orna- n.ent.s. Miss Firth gave the blessfing.

A gift exchange was held. The class wffl meet Jan. 17 at the church. Twenty three attended the Christmias dinner of the Auxiliary of American Post 374 Tuesday night at Villa Antone in Wellsville. The tables were decorated with poinsettia, candles and a nylon net tree.

The table for the gift exchange featured sleigh and reindeer. Christmas cards also were exchanged. Mrs. Frieda Skvarka, president, contributed the Christmas novelties and various sample items. She received a gift, with Mrs.

Julia Baumgard making the presentation. Birthday anniversary cards and gifts were presented Mrs. Baumgard. Mrs. Norma Jean Pointer, Mrs.

The blessing was offered by McGown who also read the Christmas story for devotions.
