Imbrie who said he another bid on the work before the end of the week. Imbrie said that there wa.n an abundance of water in the reservoir at the present time and the emergency system was 100 per cent perfect.

He told the members that since the last meeting rains had filled the dam to overflowing and there was no particular need at this time to rush the new well. He suggested that it might be advisable to have the proposition placed on the ballot in the form of issue at the November elec- as taking funds from the wa- Yor department to pay the cost might cripple that department. Member John Hand said that a bond issue of 10,000 authorized for the same purpose several ago could not be sold and doubted if another would have any better success. He declared that when we have water we forget and wheu we we are worried and on the anxious President George D. Ingram remarked during the discussion that an emergency exists all the time In regards to the water supply.

Manetoveg to Open Neiv Store In Ambridge, Pa, Bv Thr HOLLYWOOD. Aug. The future of the royal family of the films, Mary Pickford 'and Douglas F'airbanks, rested "in the lap of the today.

That is the way described the status of their once Idyllic marriage which has found its way Into the divorce courts. With a wistful smile she spoke of her meeting yesterday with Fairbanks upon his return to Hollywood after 14 months in Europe. What transpired between the two. for whom Hollywood hopes a reconciliation lies ahead, nothing was known. After the meeting.

Mary said: "Yes, I saw Douglas. Whether I shall see him again is in the lap of the gods. Further than that I can say Fairbaiiks. true to the silence ith which he has met all inquiries about his "private life" had nothing to say. The famous couple met yesterday afternoon near a fashionable hotel in Beverly Hills.

A few hours earlier, Fairbanks had arrived In Los Angeles station. After a short interval in which few knew what happened and none would tell, he met Miss Pickford in Beverly Hills, entered her and went with her for a drive. It was after that that she made her statement. Her calm, pleasant demeanor seemed to Indicate Hollywood had reason to hope for a reunion of the couple who ruled its social destines and captured its public for so many years. Despite the secrecy of their movements, it was reliably reported Fairbanks dined with Miss Pickford at Plckfalr, the home where they often entertained notables and where the actress lives.

Later they went for another automobile drive. How long Fairbanks will remain here was not known. The actor said his stay would be indefinite. When he left the train, he said he had come here for business reasons alone. Questioned about the possibility of up with his famous wife, he replied with a show of a scowl is no use asking me about LOST WATCH LADIES Illinois white srold wrist watch, white Kohl strap with and areen inlaid, in ncsa district Sunday cvt nlnK, AiiK.
