UAtPICkS past. "We play at festivals as far north as Noblesville and as far south as Berea, KY," said Canfield. Far Cry appears regularly at the Borden Bluegrass Association's concerts at Henryvil-le. The concerts are held the third and fifth Saturday nights of each month. They will sing during the Sunday School hour, beginning at 9:15 a.m., and will also sing a few selections during the morning worship service, beginning at 10:15. '74 class reunion it Reelings Visit Florida Far Cry Bluegrass, a local bluegrass band, appeared in the February issue of Blue-grass Unlimited, a national bluegrass magazine. The group was pictured in the General Store section. The group, consisting of Jim Hall, mandolin and vocals; Jesse Sampson, banjo; Sam Ely, guitar; Jeff Canfield, bass and vocals; and Nikki Canfield, guitar and vocals, has been together for three years, except for Ely who joined the group last spring.

Also, Judy Sampson has recently started singing with the band. "We play a lot of songs originally done by Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, the Osborne Brothers, and the Bluegrass Cardinals," said Nikki Canfield. "We like to do the old favorites as well as the songs." Canfield noted that the number of bluegrass festivals in the area is dwindling and the band plans to travel farther this year than it has in the St. Patrick's Day isn't just for the Irish.
