The Australian-born woman who first shocked the world in the World War I era when she wore the first twammis CQtAElHMPQftt A BUDGET ACCOUNT THIS WEEK! 77 BALTIMORE ST, one-piece bathing suit now runs a health food shop in Long Beach. Annette has always been something of a physical education bug. She has given health talks in Aus! tralia, England, Germany, Italy and ithroughout the United States. I What's more, she has taken her own advice to heart. The bouncy brunette is a slim, trim gal who weighs 123, has not gained a pound in 20 years and has few wrinkles. How does she do it? "Good food and exercises," she says. Ageless Annette's idea of good food is simple — not too much sugar or starch, lots of stuff with vitamins in It, and in her case, no meat. "People used to say I could not swim without meat, but I still hold the world's record for underwater swimming — three minutes, 27 seconds." She says that simple calesthenics are important for women who want eternal youth. Breathing also is Important. With proper breathing, says Annette, there would bs no need for "those deplorable" falsies." Miss Kellerman got her stage &nd swimming start in Sydney, Australia. She came to the U. S. when she was 17, and soon made a name for herself, both as a swimmer and dancer. This got her into pictures. She made such silents as "Neptune's Daughter" and "Queen of the Sea" She made 11 films altogether between 1914 and 1926. The bob-haired beauty will not give her exact age, She says she is in her early 60's, but her husband, James R. Sullivan, denies it. Thank you very much for the help and cooperation you gave us following the fire at our Baltimore Street office. We most certainly appreciate it. Before the embers even died down, we had been offered storage and office space, and folks with whom we do business were going out of their way to give us every possible assistance. We would also like to say a sincere "Thank You" to the fire departments of Cumberland, LaVale, Corriganville, Ridgeley and Wiley Ford, who rushed to our assistance and kept fire damage to a minimum.
