Rooievelt Quartet WHI Entertain at Park THE GOOD OLD DAYS, a top rated Illinois barbershop quartet, will appear at the Park Administration building next Monday evening to help kick oil the new barbershop singing program being sponsored by the Park District. The group will meet weekly on Mondays at 8 P.M. The Good Old Days are members of the North Shore chapter of SPEBSQSA, and have been high ranking medalists In that organization's state-wide competition. They are known as a highly entertaining foursome. Bob Haeger, who will direct the new chorus, Indicated that The Good Old Days will not only entertain the group but will sit in with the chorus and help them learn an entire song before the evening Haeger said the visitors are typical of many fine quartets who learned the basics of barbershop singing la a larger chorus group and then got together to form their own individual foursomes. He emphasized that a fine singing voice is not necessary. The barbershop singing program is open to men In Forest Park and the surrounding area. Those Interested are warmly invited to attend.
