Page 5 Business Cultivating young growers KSBY to be purchased by New Vision Group owns three other television stations on the East Coast and is acquiring other broadcast properties. Actual transfer of the license is scheduled for late summer following approval by the Federal Communications Commission. KSBY 6, a local NBC affiliate serving San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, can be viewed on cable channel 4 in San Luis Obispo County and cable channel 6 in Santa Barbara County. KSBY also operates WB affiliate KWCA, viewed on cable channel 5.

Based in Atlanta, New Vision Group is a rebirth of one of the most successful broadcast groups of the mid-1990s, Elkin said. New Vision has additional stations under letters of intent to purchase and plans to acquire at least 10 television stations in a relatively short period of time. New Vision is excited to be purchasing the No. 1 station on Californias Central Coast, and were looking forward to moving the station into digital transmission and other opportunities for expansion, Elkin said.
