Town Clerk Dies At Home Henry M. Johnson, 73, town clerk of Kingsbury the last 16 years, died yesterday in his home at Hudson Falls. He had been ill several months. Mr. Johnson, besides being a Town of Kiugsbury official, had formally years been a member of the Washington County Republican Committee and at the time of his death was secretary of the Kingsbury Republican Committee.

He was a trustee of the Hudson Falls Methodist Church. Widely known in musical circles, he formerly was the church choir director and was prominently associated with the old Glens Falls Band and the band of the Union Bag Paper Corp. in Glens Falls. A native of Creek, Mr. Johnson had resided in Hudson Falls many years.

Active in Odd Fellow programs, he was a past noble- grand of Sanatatea Lodge in Hudson Falls. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Johnson, and several aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Hudson Falls Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev.

H. Clayton Ackley, officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Fort Korean GIs Musi Wait For Idle Veterans of the Korean War will not. be entitled to draw unemployment compensation i mid-October under the new bill passed and approved for their benefit. Harold E.

Coleman, director of the Rensselaer County Veterans Service Agency, said yesterday that a number of Korean veterans already were inquiring about unemployment checks. The law provides compensation of $26 a week for 26 weeks after Ihe ninetieth day after enactment of the act. The date the act was signed last July 16. The regulations also are that if the 'veteran is eligible for mustering out pay, he will not be eligible to receive unemployment compensation within thirty days after discharge or ninety days after enact- iinent, whichever is later if he received $100 mustering out pay. If he received S200 mustering out pay, he will not be eligible for sixty days after discharge or ninety days after enactment, whichever is later.

One section of the fenccd-in playground contains the swings, sec-saws, merry-go-round, slide, sandbox, monkey bars and picnic tables. Nearby and also enclosed by fences is the modern, hard surface Abasketball court, together with a practice area. Other facilities include a wading pool, softball diamond, a vollyball and handball court pits. For the boys, league play is scheduled every Monday and Wednesday night, directed by Art Aronson and Bob IVIcClure. Both leagues regularly challenge teams from other playgrounds. A further incentive for increased sports activity was the completion of painted boundary lines on all five hard-surface basketball courts at Beman Park, Frear Park, Kinlock, Prospect Park and 112th Street playgrounds.
