Craig Gustafson, 13, of Warwick, was in less serious condition with eye injuries facial cuts. The seven other youngsters who were injured were treated at St.

Anthony's Hospital and sent home. Eight other children who were in the classroom at the time of the explosion a unharmed. Carter, a 7th grade science teacher, was preparing the experiment while in charge of a study period for 8th grade students. State Police Were investigating the cause of the blast which blew out six windows ini the room. There was no fire.

Treated for-minor-injuries by two nurses at the school and at the hospital were Paul Kubli, Barry Heil. Joseph Grogan, Kathleen Lupino. Vicki Olmedo.j Harold Hansen and Joyce Kusek.
