1 1 1 I I October 28, 1988 Tucson Citizen lI A graveyard with a message GOBLINS, BEWARE This ghoulish graveyard at 4624 S. Poinciana Drive is the creation of Roberta and Richard Magnuson, a husband and wife who feel Halloween deserves more than just a pumpkin in the window. The couple's front-yard cemetery includes "human limbs" fashioned out of cotton and latex gloves, a cellophane ghost, crosses and six cardboard gravestones inscribed with a mixture of humorous and serious messages. While one reads, "Steve did not believe, so he died on Halloween Eve, 1987, another reads, "Here li lies Burt, drugs won't hurt, now he lies, in the dirt, 1970-1985." "We thought since the kids are going to be coming around, and a lot of them are, it's a good time to give a message," said Roberta Magnuson. This Halloween, the Magnusons will celebrate by having costumed friends over and by dressing up as the timelessly terrifying Mr.

and Mrs. Dracula. LINDA Citizen Figueroa-Soto trial delayed until March The trial of suspected marijuana kingpin Jaime Javier Figueroa-Soto has been put off until March. Pima County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore Raner C. Collins agreed to continue the case, scheduled to go to trial next month, until March 14 at the request of Robert Hooker, the lawyer representing Figueroa 41.

Deputy County Attorney Kenneth Peasley, one of the prosecutors in the case, did not object to the continuance. Hooker asked for the continuance because of the amount of materials he has received from the state and the number of witnesses the prosecution says it might call. He also said he was having difficulty obtaining records form Mexico, such as telephone records and hotel registration records. Figueroa-Soto was also arraigned yesterday on a new charge of conspiracy to transport marijuana. He now faces .75 felony counts involving conspiracy and marijuana possession.

He will stand trial on 36 counts at the first trial. Figueroa-Soto is suspected of having run one of largest -smuggling organizations in the country in 1983 and 1984. He was arrested in May at his Scottsdale home. George Borozan, who has worked in radio and television here for more than 33 years, said yesterday he was shocked when told last week that his job at KMSB-TV had been eliminated. Randy Cantrell, Channel 11 general manager and vice president, announced the cutbacks at the station Wednesday. He said that in addition to Borozan, the station also had laid off the manager of local advertising sales, a broadcast equipment engineer and a clerical worker because of the economic slowdown that has hit every station in the Tucson area. Borozan, 54, had been director of news and personnel for the Tucson station and another television station in Albuquerque, N.M. The stations are owned by the Providence Journal Co.

of Providence, R.I., which also owns other communications properties, including cable and cellular phone companies. Before the Tucson station was sold to the Rhode Island firm two years ago, Borozan was the anchorman of Channel 11's news programs and had been with the station since 1970. After the sale the call letters were changed from KZAZ to KMSB and all news programming was dropped. Borozan said he was on vacation when he was called by Cantrell, who asked to meet him for breakfast last Thursday. A Providence executive came to the restaurant with the station manager and they later told him his job had been eliminated because of financial problems at the station, he added.

"I feel that the whole thing was handled very badly," Borozan said. Lost and Found FOUND female Irish Setter mix no Bilby 6th. Oct. 25th. 741-1210 FOUND female malamute mix, about 1 year.
