Community Clothing Center Closed Today "The Harrisburg; Community Clothing Center, 23 North Front street, closed its doors today. During the past season, it has supplied 16,000 garments to the needy men, women and children of the city, and has benefited more than 1500 families. year's work has tripled last year's record and already plans have been started for next year's work.

A large supply of women's and girls' clothing is cut and ready for sewing, and the women of the city are urged to spend some time during the spring and summer months so that next year's calls may" he answered promptly. In addition to the supply of clothing, women of Harrisburg have given more than $2200 and many orders on merchants so that necessities could be provided for needy families. Boys and girls who were unable to attend school because of lack of clothing were cared for, and hundreds of men and women were able to obtain odd jobs because of the suitable clothing they received from the center. So far, no State government bureau has attempted to make estimates in this respect. The Governor's telegram was in a reply to one from the senator asking "hew many people in your State are starving and also how many can find no employment of any kind?" In his reply, the Governor gave the same figures and made the same charges that he recently has repeated so frequently. It was learned today that Governor Pinchot visited Chicago over the week-end.
