the city clerk In each case the candidate is seek ing re election The petitions were filed for Harry Hartley of the Second ward and Touhy of the irst ward The term of Carl Carmean of the Third ward also expires this spring March 23 will be the last day for filing petitions and the election will be held held April 3 Beginning last night the office of the city clerk will be open from 8 in the morning until 10 at night until March 23 inclusive for the registration of voters Wichita Negro ined Ike Embry 30 year old Negro of Wichita who was taken from a Pickwick bus when it stopped here at famiiy PAYMENTS TO OSAGES PAWHUSKA Okla March 13 Better times forecast for the Osage Indians when oil and gas lease sales took an upward turn last month were in sight today as the agency here
