When the new church was built, a pipe organ was installed. The young musician had received no training in pipe organ playing but-'within two years she had trained herself.

From then on, for 45 years, she was organist of Grace Methodist Church. Mrs. Blake grew up in the Sunday School, always taking an active part in its classes and finding much of her social life in its activities. Her wedding in 1886 to the late George H. Blake was the first in the new church edifice.

For many years Mr. Blake, a well known Troy undertaker, derected the church choir. At a recent service in Grace Church, the entire congregation honored Mrs. Blake. Rev: Donald R.

Lewis preached a sermon on "Faithfulness," referring to Mrs. Blake as a "marvelous example cf faithfulness throughout her life." The congregation presented her a gold cross. Mrs. Blake's daughter-in-law, Mrs. Herbert C.
