Air Force Pilot Killed In Jet Crash Hear Lenox Lenox, Mass. (AP)-An Air Force jet pilot crashed to his death yesterday after his F86D plane apparently stalled during a i lated "dog'fight" with another jet at 1,000 feet.

Scientists Find New Link In Body's Building Of Protein Chicago (UP)--Massachusetts scientists say they have discovered a link in the chain of events leading to the way the body's cells build protein. The ribonucleic acid, with the amino acids attacked, has been isolated and has been shown capable of turning its amino acids over to another part of the cell where they are united to form protein. The puzzle of protein-building has long stymied scientists. Solution of the problem could lead to an understanding of the differ- normal cells--thus pointing a way to the control of cancer. Drs.

Mahlon B. Hoagland, Paul C. Zamecnik and Mary Louise Stevenson of the Massachusetts General Hospital told the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology of their find in the protein-building experiments. The link involves a large molecule called ribonucleic acid which appears to attach chemically amino acid building blocks to its surface. The pilot's name was withheld by at Wcstbver Air Base, Chicopee, pending notification of kin.

The pilot's body was hurled 50 feet into an open field as the plane crashed and exploded, shooting up flames as high as 50 feet. feet deep and 50 feet wide on the farm land of Emile Roberts. Clifford Whitney, who lives nearby, said he was watching the two jets perform their maneuvers when one of the planes stalled in a climb. The jet started to vibrate, fell over, and plummeted straight down, he said. The pilot apparently tried to eject himself, Whitney reported he saw the'canopy fly off about 100 yards above the ground.

Whitney said he ran toward the plane as soon as it crashed, but it exploded before could reach it. He the 'pilot's mangled body in the field.
