WEDNESDAY EVENINg, MARCH 29, 1967 37 Latest Prices From New York, American Stock Exchanges Prices Mixed At Mid-Day On Exchange NEW YdRK (AP) Gainers were more numerous than los crs in the stock market early this afternoon but losses by some leading blue chips depressed the averages. Trading was active. Many investors were wary as the first quarter approached its end, fearing that reports of first-quarter earnings would compare unfavorably with the year ago quarter. Some analysts said that the market had "discounted" the expectation of poorer earnings and had "been looking longer term.

Nevertheless, there was enough selling to give the market scrambled pattern. The Dow industrial average at noon was off 1.84 at A gain of .00 at 311.32, how ever; was shown at noon by the D.ow.Jories average of 65 stocks, including rails and utilities as well as Associated Press average slocks- at noon was off .1 at 323.7 with industrials down 1.4, rails up' :6 and utilities. up SCM'-Corp. sank more than" 4 points as profit taking continued to affect some of the recent bif gainers. The 'aerospace section has been -rendered uneasy by van ous reports of attempts at a truce iVietnam.
