Trading os-sumed a lively aspect on the curb market today with pricei highly irregular. American Gat and Electric was the outstanding feature, moving up more than three points in active turnover. The rise was attributed to excellent earnings prospects of the company. This strength in American was. imparted to other sections of the utility list, bringing gains of point or so in Electric Bond and Share and Mohawk Valley.

Glen Alden suffered considerably from profit taking which sent it down three points, a natural sequence to the rapid rise of the last few days. Warner Brothers Pictures eased off another point while Foundation foreign lost a- similar amount. 2. Capt Rene Fonck, French Rce, under contract to pilot the Sikorsky biplane from New York to Paris is opposed to Capt. Homer M. Berry, American flier, as a fellow pilot because the latter earned his epaulets while serving under Pancho Villa. This was disclosed yesterday when Col Hartney, general manager of the Argonauts, the society sponsoring the flight announced he had Invited the disputants to iron out their difficulties before him.

Berry, appealed to the Argonauts when Fonck announced several days ago there would be but two pilots and that the American would not be one of them. Hartney announced he would back Berry's claim and would re-sigr from the aviators' organization if ha were not upheld. Hartney and Bernard Sandler, New York attorney, conferred with Fonck in the biplane's hangar yesterday afternoon. Later Sandler said: "Fonck feels that he would be mentally unhappy with Captain Berry because his title of captain comes from the Mexican army, in addition to that he dwelt on Berry's rank during the war, that of flying sergeant and pointed out that he is merely a lieutenant in the reserve corps now."
