THOMAS J. MURPHY 90-39 Corona Elmhurst, L. HA. 4-7251 CAREER QUIZ A recent change has been made by the Veterans Administration affecting the status of veterans who wish to begin under the pocational, Rights. courses of training This week we present the second part of a column by the New York' Chapter.

National Association of Private and Vocational Schools, clarifying what this new ruling means. "How will the new V. A. directive 1A actually work out?" This is the second of two articles. Let's look at a couple of typical cases: If a veteran wants to take a course in a school that was established prior to 1941, he does not come under the restrictions imposed by the ruling.

But let him try to take the same course in a post-1944 school and he must go through the mill and "justify" the course as essential to immediate employment. And when we say "same course" we mean just that. All the private vocational schools are licensed and supervised by the State Department of Education. All courses in a given field of study must meet the same standards whether they were set up ten years ago or ten days ago. If a GI thinks it necessary to learn another aspect of his trade to maintain his position in the industry, he will likewise run into the V.A.

demand to "prove" need to immediate employment. The V. A. ruling supplemental, part-time A Delmar Candid Photographers Mrs. Andrew Monastero Monastero-Randazzo Miss Grace Alice Randazzo, daughter of Mr.
