of New Salem, and the police of this section are looking for John Williams, foreman of Greesboro Gas company in Brownsville, and the 16-year-old daughter of Lerot W. Porter, of near New Salem. William, who is said to be a trarried man, is charged with having abducted the girl, and information has been made against bim by the father of the girt. It was thought that be bad taken the girl to Brownsville, and was staying at the Pennsylvania hotel, but this was found upon investigation to be incorrect. Chief of police Paul, of Brownsville, now has the warrant and is using eveiy en leavor ti locate the couple.
