Weaver, who publicizes Broadway legitimate theatre attractions, as well as special road show films, w7ill assume his new assignment in behalf of the $12 Million Bryna Production immediately. On Saturday, Weaver resigned a similar post at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer where he supervised the publicity campaign for the New York engagement of "Ben-Hur." He was also in charge of the New York campaign on "Gigi" for the same company. The association re-unites Livingston and Weaver, who worked together on the reserved seat engagement of "Hamlet," starring Laurence Olivier, when it was released by Universal ten years ago. At that time Weaver represented the Theatre Guild, which had an interest in the production. He was loaned to Uni versal to assist in the lgeitimate theatre phases of the distribu tion, and was subsequently engaged by the film company to handle publicity and advertising for the New York engagement. Clark Gable turned the other cheek when it came to photo-, graphing his romantic scenes with Sophia Loren in Shavelson-Rose's "It Started in Naples," VistaVision-Technicolor comedy co starring Vittorio DeSica.

The "King" has for many years insisted that he be photographer with his right side facing the camera. So has Sophia. Until Gable realized that jshe wanted her right side to the camera, the two did considerable circling of one another for their preferred positions. Since Gable personally selected Sophia as his co-star in the Paramount release, he chivalrously acceded to her preference. Thus, movie-goers will see Gable's left side spotlighted for the first time in his career.
