ALTOONA TRIBUNE, Monday, November 3, 1947 Funeral Notices Will Be Found On Classified Page OBITUARIES OBITUARIES JOHN BLACK John Black, 96, Duncannon's oldest resident and a former elder of the First Presbyterian church, Altoona, died at a Harrisburg hospital Friday morning injuries received in a fall at his home, 423 North High street, Duncannon. Mr. Black was a retired employe of the Pennsylvania railroad motive power department in Altoona with 35 years service. During his railroad career he lived in Altoona and took an active part in church affairs. He moved to Duncannon about 25 years ago following his retirement.

Mr. Black was a member of the Duncannon Presbyterian church. Surviving are two nephews, Chester Parson, Altoona; and Charles A. Black, Harrisburg; and two nieces, Miss Edna Black, Asbury, N. and Grace E.

Hamilton, Chicago, Ill. Friends may call at the Duncannon funeral home this evening. ALICE C. (MATHEWS) JANKER Alice C. (Mathews) Janker, 819 East Walton avenue, died after an extended illness at the Fitzgerald Nursing home at 12:15 o'clock Saturday morning.

She was born in Philadelphia Jan. 3, 1903, the daughter of the late James and Rebecca (Kaylor) Mathews. Surviving are her husband, Joseph George Janker, one brother, Joseph Mathews; one SISter, Mrs. Marie Eger; four nephews and one niece. Mrs.

ELIZABETH MANSFIELD Elizabeth Mansfield, widow of Henry Mansfield, Ashville, died yesterday morning at 5:10 o'clock the Mercy hospital, She Was born July 28, 1898, at Cresson, the daughter of Charles and Louise (Davis) Smith. Surviving are sons, James, Jack and Don, of fours, Ashville; and Paul, stationed in Panama with the army; two ters, Florence Smith, Detroit, and Mrs. Madeline Allyson. New York: and two brothers. Joseph Paul Smith, Cresson.

Philadelphia; Friends will be received at the home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. SALLY LYNN McCRACKEN Sally Lynn McCracken, daughter of John B. and Romane L. (Wagner) McCracken, 200 East Fifth avenue, died Saturday at Altoona hospital where she was born Friday.

Surviving are the parents and the following sisters and brother: Leota, Carole, and John, Jr. Burial will be this morning in Al burial park.
