Miss Lee Witts Piano That perseverance wins was again demonstrated last ed the fine $400 Clarendon piano; given by the' Press to the yoVmg lady receiving the most votes in the Popularity Miss Lee's victory was decisive, she being 125,000 votes ahead of competitor. Miss Pearl Fargo was second in the standing of the contestants, Miss Ulah Norrid third, and Miss BeulahShackelforJotirth- Miss Fargo-received a valuable gold watch, Miss Norrid was awarded the handsome water set, and Miss Shackelford received the gold bracelet Miss Lee has to show for abput three weeks work a splendid musical instrument that would grace any homeland the satisfaction of having been the winner in a spirited contest. The only profit accruing to the Press from the contest is a greatly increased subscription list, and as the profit to the newspaper man in a subscription is small, real gainers in the piano cohr test are the Press advertisers who now reach many readers than heretofore. The contest was conducted in a manner strictly honorable and fair to all the contestants, while, for awhile, the contest was spirited, it left no "sore spots" anywhere, and Miss' Lee has received the congratulations of the other contestants, together with those of her of other friends.
